For three seasons, San Diego Coffee Network has been organizing Thursday Night Throwdown, a unique latte art competition between local baristas. During competition season, coffee lovers come together under the roofs of the best San Diego coffee shops to socialize and witness seasoned professionals do their magic coffee tricks. Next week, on May 7, season three, round four will finish up at Dark Horse Coffee Roasters to finally reveal the best latte artist in town. Best baristas, delicious coffee and friendly people. Sounds good? Sure does!

But wait, can it get any better? The answer is yes! Right before Thursday Night Throwdown, Muir Woods Coffee House and the Middle O’Muir will be hosting Wednesday Night Throwdown. Following the example of the larger San Diego coffee community, UCSD baristas will come together for the first time to figure out who will be crowned for their beautiful latte art pieces. While everyone is welcome to watch the competition and enjoy live music, if you happen to know how to pull shots and steam milk yourself, sign up at least 24 hours prior to the competition and show everyone who is the beverage boss!
