Proposition 59

There are ridiculously few arguments for not passing Proposition 59, which would amend the Constitution to make government meetings and documents more readily available to the public. For San Diego in particular, whose city council has been marred by complaints of closed-door meetings and deception, the initiative would mean more government accountability and a clearer understanding of a citizen’s right to know. Vote “yes” on Proposition 59.
