Got a tip?

The best tips are newsworthy, clear, and accompanied with evidence. Our journalists may not follow a lead if it is vague, speculatory, or unsupported. Please do not send feedback or article pitches.

How can you submit your tip?

We have provided a few ways to submit your anonymous tip. Take into account that each mode of communication offers different levels of security.

Google Forms

Google Forms are best for submitting quick news tips. The only information we will have from you is the email address that you used to submit the form.

Proton Mail

Proton Mail provides an end-to-end encryption service that ensures that only you and the recipient can view your messages. Encryption keeps your information safe because it does not scan the content of your emails like many popular email services do. The only data Proton Mail collects are the email or phone number you use to verify your account upon creation. Keep in mind that Proton Mail automatically encrypts emails between Proton Mail users. If you do not want to make a Proton Mail account but want the same level of protection, follow these instructions here.

Proton Mail address: [email protected]

Click here to download the public key for encryption.

Traditional mail

Traditional mail is another safe option, but without a return address or contact details attached, we will not be able to contact you for a response.

Mailing address: 9500 Gilman Drive, 0316 La Jolla, CA 92093-0316

Standard email

Standard email is the quickest way to reach us and receive a response.
