Baseball
UCSD (19-19 in the CCAA) was officially knocked out of the playoff hunt when CSU Stanislaus (21-18) swept a doubleheader against Grand Canyon on May 4. The Warriors clinched the fourth and final spot in the CCAA tournament when San Francisco State (20-19) lost the second game of a doubleheader to CSUSB. Sonoma State, UC Davis and Chico State are the other three teams to advance to the postseason.
Women’s tennis
UCSD lost 5-0 to BYU-Hawaii in the National Collegiate Athletic Association regionals on May 3. Look for the complete results in the May 8 issue of the Guardian.
