American Pie”” fans familiar with Jason Biggs’ dopey brand of R-rated humor can expect the same blundering charisma in writer-director Michael Ian Black’s “”Wedding Daze”” – as the loveless Anderson, Biggs is set to convey an endearing ineptitude embodied in his previous lackluster teen stunts. The flick’s bizarre premise rests on Anderson’s failure in proposing to his girlfriend: Overcome with grief after accidentally killing her, Anderson asks a diner waitress (Isla Fisher) to marry him on a crackpot dare.

Defying all improbabilities, she says “”yes.”” What follows is 90 minutes of mixed-bag gags, ranging from high-action heists to randy homosexual cavorting and parental nymphomania, mostly sterile and falling dismally short of the dark humor Black strives for in his clunky dialogue. Although the outlandish characters may elicit a few weak chuckles, audiences will more likely leave theaters feeling dazed and confused.
