12:45 p.m.: General disturbance

A 60-year-old man yelled at a Thornton Hospital security guard after becoming angry over a parking citation.

11:57 p.m.: Citizen contact

Two people engaged in a verbal confrontation in a laundry room in Black Hall. Gone on arrival.

Monday, Jan. 22

2:25 a.m.: Noise disturbance

Three adult males in ski masks caused a disturbance when they fired Nerf guns at each other outside of Sixth College. Gone on arrival.

12:33 p.m.: Suspicious person

A gray-haired, 50-something white male was seen using a Galbraith Hall computer that reportedly did not belong to him. Cited.

2:14 p.m.: Medical aid

A 20-year-old male in Sverdrup Hall broke a glass bottle on his chin and reportedly could not stop the bleeding.

3:19 p.m.: Hit and run

Thornton Hospital security reported witnessing a vehicle collision in Lot 752. The driver of the second car chased after the first on foot. Report taken.

Tuesday, Jan. 23

7:44 a.m.: Injury

An elderly female in Lot 751 was said to be bleeding from the head.

3:23 p.m.: Suspicious person

Officers reported to Lot 604 after a group of males were seen clustering around a sport utility vehicle. Gone on arrival.

4:37 p.m.: Medical aid

A hysterical 52-year-old woman called medics from Regents Road when an unknown person took an overdose of pills.

Wednesday, Jan. 24

8:34 p.m.: Reckless driving

A woman called police after she spotted a group of people hanging onto the outside of their moving vehicle, a practice commonly known as “”ghostriding the whip,”” as they drove through Lot 402.

9:40 p.m.: Disabled placard misuse

Officers reported to Lot 310 to locate an unknown person who was parked illegally. Arrest misdemeanor.

11:04 p.m.: Burglary

Two men on bicycles reported that cars were being broken into in John Muir College. Checks OK.

11:06 p.m.: Welfare check

Police were asked to check on an unknown female described as stumbling around the Pepper Canyon parking lot.

Thursday, Jan. 25

12:47 a.m.: Bomb threat

A community service officer called police after a note on a Center Hall door advised that there was a bomb inside. Checks OK.

3 a.m.: Possession of marijuana

Officers responded to Thurgood Marshall College residence halls when an anonymous male said he smelled smoke inside the building. Report taken.

10:34 a.m.: Suspicious person

A bald black male in his 30s, wearing a green shirt and carrying a white bag, was seen outside the medical teaching facility. Unable to locate.

1:08 p.m.: Citizen contact

A skateboarder reported that a UCSD professor had hit him with a car a few months ago. The reporter was reportedly hospitalized when the injury occurred.

11:04 p.m.: Petty theft

An anonymous caller passed a tent on Library Walk that appeared to have been ransacked. Checks OK.
