Druthers: Hiatus Picks this Week's Best Bets

The Casbah hasn’t heard hate words like these before. Vinnie Paz can make you feel two feet tall with just one sneer heard through your headphones — I can only imagine the kind of venom he drips when you’re right beneath the stage.

R.A. the Rugged Man and Outerspace are also on board Jedi Mind’s Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell tour bus, hopefully slinging some of that murder they threw on the album and the early 2006 Army of the Pharaohs project.

Forget about your rootsy, your socially conscious, your Gym Class Heroes and your hyphy (that’s right, drop those stunna shades and wipe that goddamn thizz off your face) — when you get rocked by hip-hop this hard, there’s no remembering the genre’s many technicalities. (SW)
