Sun God 2006 was loaded with activities that spread to every corner of the UCSD campus. Students skipped class and roamed around with no apparent destination, oftentimes doing so with a little help from “adult beverages.” At the annual Triton Junkyard Derby, participants raced their homemade soapbox cars down Peterson Hill. During the daytime, student organizations hosted activity booths, complete with gladiator-style sparring, a slip-and-slide on Sun God lawn and a dunk tank on Library Walk. Even Chancellor Marye Anne Fox joined in the festivities with a jig during Sun God.
