Daveís Pseudo-Gourmet Pasta

Do you need to impress a hot date this Friday night, but donít have a kitchen? Are you already sick of dining hall food, but donít have a lot of money? Do your culinary creations lack a certain, should we say, edibility? If so, try making this unique pasta concoction on your stove or even in the microwave. Itís a great dish to bring to a potluck as well! Your friends will swear youíve taken cooking lessons.

Ingredients:

1 bag of pasta, penne works great or two packages of Top Ramen

1û2 cup feta cheese

1 can chopped tomatoes (stewed will work in a pinch)

2 cloves garlic

cilantro

Optional: pre-cooked chicken or tofu if you want

Directions:

1. Cook the pasta. If you are going the microwave route, donít use the Ramen seasoning. Just cook the noodles and drain.

2. Put the pasta back in the warm pot and mix in the cheese and the tomatoes (drain the tomatoes first).

3. Now peel and chop the garlic and stir it into the pasta.

4. Add cilantro to taste (and your chicken or tofu if you want).

Voila! A gourmet meal for minimal effort and money.
