This Sunday, USFIRST, a charitable UCSD affiliated organization, is hosting the first-ever 5K Run and Walk.
The event is to benefit the homeless.
The course will be around campus and the race starts on Sunday at 9 a.m. Registration starts at Sunday 7:30 a.m. at the medical school’s south lawn.
Students, faculty and staff need only pay the entrance fee of $10. Others must pay $18 to participate.
Over 200 runners are expected to participate.
USFIRST collects and distributes food and information to the poor. All proceeds from this event will benefit the needy.
