Tritons upset formerly undefeated Chico State last Friday, Jan. 11. Now, UCSD will embark on a road trip in search of a fourth straight win.

One game after upsetting higher-ranked Chico State last Friday, Jan. 11, the Tritons conceded a sobering loss to middle-of-the-pack Cal State Stanislaus — not the ideal start to a six-game road swing.

The UCSD Men’s Basketball is set to face Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus at RIMAC this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 10-11.

An inability to close games has haunted the UCSD Men’s Basketball team. The Tritons are currently the only team in the conference without a CCAA win, starting season play with a 1-5 overall record, and a 1-3 CCAA record.

Record-setting performances from senior forward Justin Brue and junior guard James McCann weren’t enough to secure a win over CSU San Bernardino, last Saturday, Nov. 24.

The UCSD women’s basketball team went 1-1 at the third annual Thanksgiving Classic, this weekend Nov. 23-24. The Tritons, who had started the season 1-4 fared well in their home opener against Azusa Pacific but lost in their second game to undefeated Tampa, who improved to 6-0 with a pair of wins at the tournament.

The No. 8 UCSD Women’s Basketball team dropped three straight at the Disney Tip Off Classic held in Anaheim, Calif.

Last weekend, Nov. 9-10, the UCSD Men’s Basketball team split at the Dixie State Invitational.
