A fire at the Mesa apartments on Sunday displaced residents and caused over $525,000 in damage.
According to the Times of San Diego, the fire broke out around 8:30 pm, and fire crews had the blaze contained within 20 minutes of arriving on the scene.
A campus security officer on the scene Monday stated that the fire marshall had yet to determine a cause for the fire, and confirmed that the residents of the apartment had been temporarily relocated to the Village. One apartment, pictured, has been gutted by the fire, while four others were damaged by smoke, water, and other secondary sources.
