April 25: Cal State Northridge sophomore forward Jite Gbemuotor transfers to UCSD, per Talia Goodman of On3. The 6-foot-2 Nigerian forward averaged 9.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for the Matadors, and she helped lead CSUN to its first Big West Championship appearance since 2023. Gbemuotor is the first incoming transfer for Heidi VanDerveer this year.

April 23: Junior forward Bol Dengdit commits to Hawai’i. The 6-foot-11 Dengdit will move to the closest Division-I school to his native Melbourne and join a Rainbow Warrior team that will play Mountain West basketball next season. Dengdit averaged 10.7 points per game in his lone season in La Jolla; he previously played two seasons at Portland.

April 23: Albany sophomore guard Amir Lindsey is making an official visit to UCSD today, multiple sources tell The Guardian. Lindsey averaged 17.9 points per game in his sophomore season as a Great Dane and was named to the All-America East First Team. Lindsey has also visited Charlotte and Fordham.

April 20: Oregon State freshman forward Olavi Suutela commits to UCSD. The versatile 6-foot-10 Finn comes to La Jolla after a freshman season where he averaged 5.5 points per game as a Beaver. This marks a big pickup for Allard and Co., who lost resident big-man Dengdit to the portal.

April 16: Loyola Chicago sophomore guard Kayde Dotson commits to UCSD. Dotson was a regular starter for the Ramblers, averaging 10.5 points per game while shooting 38% from beyond. He is the first incoming player for Allard’s squad this offseason.

April 13: After two seasons in La Jolla, redshirt freshman guard Christopher Cox is going home. The Utah native announced on Instagram that he is committing to Division-II Westminster in Salt Lake City. Cox struggled with injuries for much of his time at UCSD and only played in six games.

April 8: Redshirt junior forward Bol Dengdit enters the transfer portal, per Sam Lance of The Field of 68. Dengdit averaged 10.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and started all 34 games for the Tritons this season. Dengdit marks the second Triton starter to enter the portal, after Mayes, and will have head coach Clint Allard searching for a new big man for next season.

April 7: Redshirt junior guard Junae Mahan enters the transfer portal. Mahan played a key role off the bench in her three seasons with the Tritons, averaging 3.7 points per game in 74 games. Mahan sat out the final two months of the 2025-26 season due to injury.

April 7: We’re starting to see some more movement as the transfer portal opens. Redshirt freshman guard Trap Johnson and sophomore guard Ryder Elisaldez are entering the portal. Johnson, who transferred from Montana State, averaged 2.6 points per game in his lone season with the Tritons. Elisaldez averaged 1.0 points per game across his 30 games with the Tritons.

April 5: Redshirt junior guard Gracie Gallegos is entering the transfer portal. Gallegos redshirted the 2025-26 season due to injury, only playing limited minutes in the season opener against Pacific. Gallegos played a key role in the Tritons’ 2024-25 campaign, averaging 9.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. She scored a career-high 24 points in the Big West Championship final against UC Davis and was named to the All-Tournament team.

April 2: Redshirt junior forward Leo Beath announced on Instagram that he will be returning to UCSD next year. Beath was a regular starter for the Tritons and averaged 12.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season.

March 30: Freshman guard Hudson Mayes intends to enter the transfer portal, per his agent KJ Smith. Mayes started the season earning solid minutes off the bench before entering the starting lineup halfway through conference play. He averaged 15.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in his 12 starts, and the Tritons went 8-4 during that period.
