4:45 p.m. Tritons win back-to-back Big West Championships! After a hard-fought battle against the Rainbow Wahine, the Tritons have beaten Hawai’i for the third time this season and secured their second consecutive March Madness appearance after a 60-48 win.

4:40 p.m. The Tritons are now cruising to the title. Condron’s dominance in the paint continues, and the turnovers are mounting for a Rainbow Wahine team that needs to start scoring to save their season. A Feiman lay-in brings the lead to 13. The Tritons lead 58-45 with one minute left.

4:33 p.m. The Tritons have found their groove. After shooting 23% from the field in the first half, they’ve turned things around, shooting 46% in the second. The Tritons now lead by nine after a Condron layup and are five minutes away from dancing.

4:30 p.m. Senior guard Sabrina Ma kicks off the final quarter with a layup, only for the Rainbow Wahine to respond with one of their own. With less than 10 minutes standing between either team’s chance at hoisting the Big West trophy, it will come down to the final seconds. UCSD leads by seven, 48-41, with six minutes remaining.

4:24 p.m.  The Tritons have finally turned the heat on high as they take control of the game from Hawai’i. Storming the court after a steal, Rose seals the deal with a layup and finishes off the quarter 40-37.

4:11 p.m. Smith sinks the Tritons’ third 3-pointer of the night, cutting down the Rainbow Wahine’s lead to 32-28. The triple caps off a 9-0 Triton run, during which Hawai’i turned the ball over four times.

4:05 p.m. The third quarter is off to a rocky start for the Tritons, only scoring 1 point in the first two minutes. The Rainbow Wahine, on the other hand, have had no problem pushing ahead of the Tritons, managing to score twice.

3:40 p.m. A 9-0 Rainbow Wahine run brings the lead to double digits for the first time. A frustrated Triton head coach Heidi VanDerveer calls her first timeout.

3:35 p.m. The Tritons are starting to find a bit of a rhythm. A Condron second-chance bucket followed by a corner three from redshirt junior guard Rosa Smith narrowed the deficit to just one. Hawai’i responded well, scoring a pair of buckets in its ensuing possessions. The Rainbow Wahine lead 21-16 with four minutes left in a very low-scoring first half.

3:25 p.m. Senior guard Makayla Rose drains a corner three as the first quarter comes to a close, but the triple is a lone bright spot for a dismal quarter for the Tritons. UCSD has shot 21% from the field, struggling against the Rainbow Wahine’s aggressive defense. Hawai’i leads 13-9 at the first-quarter break.

3:13 p.m. Junior center Erin Condron has gotten the ball early and often but has struggled to convert, going 1 for 4 to start the game. The Tritons are now in the thick of a three-minute scoring drought. UCSD leads 4-2 with five minutes remaining in the opening period.

3:09 p.m. Nearly four minutes in, and the Rainbow Wahine remain scoreless. The Tritons haven’t fared much better, only putting up 4 points of their own.

3:02 p.m. Less than a minute remains before tipoff. UCSD has beaten Hawai’i by 9 points or more in each of their matchups this season. After defeating a tough opponent yesterday afternoon, the Tritons are keen to earn a second straight title.
