At Lolita’s Taco Shop, located on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, upbeat Mexican folk music can be heard before even entering the eatery.
When inside, visitors are met with a casual restaurant environment — it’s clean, well-kept and flooded with fluorescent lighting. But, if you’re coming in for a midnight snack, the lighting isn’t what’s going to make a lasting impression.
Lolita’s vast menu will leave its mark — from burritos to tacos, tortas to tostadas, enchiladas to breakfast burritos and even kid’s meals, the shop has a variety of choices for the Mexican food enthusiast. Prices range from $3 tacos to $7 plates.
One thing to note about portion size; it’s huge. Bringing a friend to help you finish off a burrito would be a wise choice.
