Rear Adm. Joseph Maguire, a Navy Seal commander, spoke during “Service to America,” held on Memorial Day at the Mount Soledad Veterans Memorial in remembrance of those who lost their lives serving in the military. The event also included a special plaque presentation to a World War II veteran and honored service personnel wounded in Iraq and currently under medical care.
