It was a tumultuous regular season for the first-year head coach Sarah Lizotte and the Tritons. UCSD finished 3-4 in conference play, only beating the bottom three teams in the conference. Since joining the Big West in 2021, the Tritons have lost in the semifinals of every Big West Championship they have competed in. They will face UCI in the quarterfinals on Friday; the Tritons lost 14-10 to the Anteaters in their only matchup this season.
