In light of Olivia Dean’s recent rise to stardom, accentuated by her four Brit Awards and 2026 Grammys best new artist win, I was inspired to dive into her discography. I didn’t expect “I’ve Seen It,” the closing track of her 2025 album “The Art of Loving,” to touch me so deeply.
Set to a gentle melody of piano and guitar, Dean’s skilled lyricism is a strikingly raw depiction of the reality of love. She describes it as the innate human emotion found in family, friends, strangers, and even within yourself — “The more you look, the more you find/ It’s all around you all the time/…/ Brings out the worst, brings out the best/ I know it’s somewhere in my chest/ I guess it’s been inside me all along.”
Love can be so rewarding, and it manifests in so many different ways. The emotional sentiment of this song is one I’ve been holding close to my heart since I discovered it — a necessary reminder that, despite how hopeless things may seem, love truly is everywhere.
