    A 13-year-old Preuss School student lightly cut his arm and apparently told the reporter that he wanted to die. Report taken.

    Monday, Jan. 8

    6:15 p.m.: Recovered stolen vehicle

    A woman discovered her black Toyota, stolen two weeks earlier, unlocked and parked in Lot 502.

    Tuesday, Jan. 9

    12:34 p.m.: Medical aid

    An 80-year-old male collapsed outside the Rebecca and John Moores Cancer Center. He was described as breathing yet incoherent. Gone on arrival.

    4:41 p.m.: General disturbance

    A male with long, curly hair was seen throwing unidentified items at buses as they passed by Lot 510.

    6:34 p.m.: Suspicious person

    A Latino male wearing a dark jacket with orange trim entered a construction site holding a pole. Field interview administered.

    Wednesday, Jan. 10

    7:46 a.m.: Suspicious person

    An employee at the Mandeville Center contacted police after a female transient became angry when she was told she could not enroll as a graduate student. She had made the request four times in the past week, and her reaction made the reporter uncomfortable.

    8:58 a.m.: Warrant service

    Police apprehended a suspect for an outstanding warrant on Polk Avenue. Arrest felony.

    9:33 a.m.: Report of burglary

    Two spools of copper wire were stolen from a construction site outside Lot 113. No suspect information was available.

    Thursday, Jan. 11

    7:07 a.m.: Possible hazard situation

    Officers were called after a black backpack was discovered next to a trashcan near Solis Hall.

    9 a.m.: Noninjury accident

    Two shuttle buses collided with each other in front of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Techonology. Report taken.

    9:23 a.m.: Vehicle burglary

    A bearded male in a hat and red jacket was seen breaking into a black Mazda with a slim jim in Lot 603.

    9:28 a.m.: Citizen contact

    A Canyon Vista office employee alerted officers that a bill collector was constantly calling the workplace.

    1:33 p.m.: General disturbance

    Police were summoned to the Price Center ballroom when a transient refused to allow people to pass through the stairs to enter the building. Field interview administered.

    3:58 p.m.: Suspicious person

    A thin Latino male in a camouflage jacket was seen loitering around cars in Lot 510. When people came by, the man allegedly ducked between cars as though to hide.

    4:13 p.m.: Report of petty theft

    A Thornton Hospital nurse was accused of stealing drugs for her own use and not recording the transactions. The suspect confessed that she had been doing this for over a month. Report taken.

    4:36 p.m.: Missing person

    A concerned mother called police when she had not heard from her son since Saturday. She said it was unlike him to go so long without calling, and he has never gone missing in the past.

    11:59 p.m.: Vehicle disturbance

    A 30-year-old male in a black sweater became verbally abusive and attempted to strike a nurse in Lot 752. Suspect gone on arrival.
