“Que Traes” — MFA Exhibition – May 14-20 @ Estacion Tijuana

Go to Tijuana, Mexico this weekend for something other than cliched drunken debauchery. “Que Traes” brings 18 UCSD Masters of Fine Arts students to Tijuana for an exhibition of contemporary art. The show is directed by UCSD professor Rubén Ortiz Torres and Tijuana-based artist Marcos Ramirez, around which this show is mounted. For more information, visit http://quetraes.ucsd.edu.

“It’s All Gone Pete Tong” – opens May 13 @ Landmark Theatres

“It’s All Gone Pete Tong” is Cockney rhyming slang for “It’s all gone wrong.” Not exactly the type of thing you’ll think of when you picture Ibiza; This center of Eurotrash and clubber’s paradise comes with its endless supply of drugs, sex, music and beautifully-bronzed bodies. “It’s All Gone Pete Tong” is not about the legendary Pete Tong himself, but rather, about DJ Frankie Wilde, a hot, up-and-coming DJ who suffers the consequences of living the hedonistic-island lifestyle. Be sure to pay attention to the awesome soundtrack.
