Rally: United in Peace

The Muslim Student Association, Students for Economic Justice and Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan will sponsor “”United for Peace”” in the Price Center at noon.

The rally will focus on the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, and the healing process.

Hip-hop group Jurassic 5 will perform.

Performing Arts: Philip Taaffe Opening Reception

The University Art Gallery and the UCSD Department of Music presents a 10-year survey exhibit of the world of Philip Taaffe. The exhibit opens with a reception at 6 p.m.

There will be a lecture by Taaffe, a reading by poet Quincy Troup and performances by UCSD’s percussion ensemble. Percussionist Steven Schick will also perform.

Special Events: Fall Festival on the Green

Student Organizations & Leadership Opportunities sponsors the 18th annual Fall Festival on the Green at 11 a.m. on Library Walk.

The festival will feature over 100 student organizations, which will provide demonstrations, performances and food.
