The Wire

    Under Construction. Excuse our mess!

“The Wire” continues its ascension as TV’s best sociopolitical drama ever with its fifth and final season (I mean, “The West Wing” never had Marty Sheen copping vials on Baltimore street corners). Yes, even I thought I would hate watching political theater, but throw in a character cast of anti-establishment drunks working the middle-class beat (cops and journalists), thrilling spotlights on what’s really wrong with public works, and you have me hooked. Check the blog regularly for synopses, humble insights and a college journalist’s perspective of the series’ final season, which explores the nuances of the Baltimore Sun’s newsroom.
