Fundraiser: Derby Days Swing

The Sigma Chi fraternity will host its annual philanthropic event all day on Library Walk. All proceeds from the fund-raiser will be donated to Children’s Hospital. The fund-raiser will continue May 10.

The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Association will continue its “”Out and Proud Week”” festivities with a march and rally.

The march will begin at noon at Revelle College and end at the Price Center Plaza, where speakers from the LGBTA and Queer People of Color will address the crowd.

Concert: Humpdaze featuring Jackass Nebraska

University Centers will sponsor a concert featuring Jackass Nebraska at the Hump in the Student Center at noon.

Jackass Nebraska is a bluegrass band whose members are students at UCSD School of Medicine. They most recently performed at singer Eric Goldlust’s wedding last month.

Bobbie Gray, career networking coordinator and career advisor for the UCSD Career Services Center, will address the importance of professional associations and their usefulness at a seminar hosted by Student Organizations and Leadership Opportunities.

Performing Arts: Pilipino Cultural Celebration

The 11th annual Pilipino Cultural Celebration will feature a theatrical production addressing Pilipino issues. The event is hosted by Kaibigang Pilipino and will take place tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Mandeville Auditorium.

Admission is free. Traditional Pilipino clothing and other items will be sold during intermission.

Forum: Most UCSD guys

The organizations behind the “”Most UCSD Guys…”” posters campaign will hold a campus forum to solicit student feedback on the posters.
