Dance: The Light

Kaibigang Pilipino will host its quarterly fundraiser dance and party at The Stage at the Pub in the Student Center at 8 p.m. There will be a DJ and dancing, and KP will be selling soft drinks.

Admission is $5 for students with a valid campus ID card. Students are permitted one guest, 18 and up, with ID. For further information call (858) 534-7763.

Vigil: Sept. 11 Candlelight Vigil

The A.S. Council is sponsoring a nondenominational candlelight vigil to offer students a chance to collectively mourn the losses in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. It will begin at 8:30 p.m. and last until about 10:30 p.m. Speakers will begin at 9 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 28

Event: Humpdaze Shows featuring I1a

The University Centers will host the annual event Friday at noon at the Hump near the Student Center. Admission is free and open to the public. The band featured will be I1a. For further information, call (858) 532-2068.

Event: P.A.T.H. at RIMAC

The Physically Active and Totally Healthy experience begins at RIMAC at 5 p.m. It features door prize competitions, two climbing walls, sporting competitions and a rec class open house.

Saturday, Sept. 29

Intramural Sports: Delta Sigma Phi Basketball Tournament

The Delta Sigma Phi fraternity will be holding a three-on-three basketball tournament from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Muir basketball courts.

Anyone will be able to sign up, but applicants must be in teams of three. There will be music, a DJ and food.

Concert: Nooner with Earthride

The first noon concert of the year, sponsored by AS Programming, will feature the reggae group Earthride. It will begin at noon in the Price Center Plaza. Admission is free to UCSD students with valid ID cards. For further information call (858) 534-5259.

Poetry Reading: Poetry Slamm

The first Poetry Slamm of the year will be held at Porter’s Pub at 7 p.m. Admission is free. For further information call (858) 532-2068.
