The UCSD women’s rugby team will be heading to New Mexico this coming weekend, April 10 to 12, for the USA Rugby Women’s Division-I Regional Spring Championship. UCSD will be facing off against the University of New Mexico for the Division-I Southwest Regional title. The UCSD team began the season ranked No. 19 in the nation for Division-I women’s rugby and had the goal to make it to nationals. It finished the season 7–1 and completed the first round of playoffs 1–1 to qualify for the first round of nationals in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The winners of the Division-I Spring Championship will play the fall champion, Pennsylvania State University.
Men’s and women’s soccer will be hosting the seventh annual soccer invitational this weekend at UCSD.
